The unpopular task of discharging waste after a RV trip can be done easier by using the Flojet portable RV waste pump by ITT Industries. Controlled via an included 6-foot cable-remote On/Off switch, it connects directly to a standard RV waste outlet and contains a garden hose adapter for discharging waste. The garden hose adapter also allows for fresh water rinsing, making cleanup faster than normal. The pump comes in a plastic carrying case.

The Tow & Stow receiver hitch enables you to tow a variety of trailers with its rotating 2- and 215/16-inch balls. With about six inches of vertical adjustment, you can move the hitch up or down for a better setup. You can also flip the hitch in the receiver for even more lift or drop. The hitch can be turned underneath itself and tucked away completely beneath your vehicle’s bumper. This Class IV-rated hitch is capable of towing up to 10,000 pounds.

The OverBilt SportLoader by Blue Ox enables you to tow your boat or travel trailer while having a motorcycle in the bed of your truck. Once loading is complete, the motorcycle will ride about an inch off the truck’s bed. Cables are not necessary for operation. A 12-volt battery (not included) runs the electric loading motor. Like in your home, the buildup of carbon monoxide can occur in your RV. Quantum Group’s Costar CO detectors are designed for RVs, so they are resistant to weather changes. Two types are available: a 9 RV version that operates on a 9-volt battery and a 12 RV version that runs on the batteries in the RV. The company says the detectors can operate from -40 degrees Fahrenheit to 151 degrees F. Both indicate an alarm condition if CO is detected.

With Onan’s new Energy Command-15W wireless remote start, you can start your RV’s generator while you’re away from the vehicle. The EC-15W has an On/Off switch that can be used as a keyfob or mounted on a wall. A receiver unit attaches to an Onan genset remote harness and works off of the existing battery terminal. RV owners can install the EC-15W on RVs with an installed genset; it also works with a RV’s existing wired On/Off switches. Available in three versions for different generator sizes.

The Banks computerized exhaust brake, made for diesel pickups, has a microprocessor that electronically senses fuel pedal position to make sure that the unit doesn’t actuate when the fuel pedal is depressed. It helps cut downhill speeds significantly without having to use the wheel brakes which, in turn, keeps the wheel brakes cool and ready in case of an emergency. In some driving conditions, it also can provide increased engine power when not in use.

The company’s cordless, portable iWAY 350c navigational unit can help you find your way on streets and highways with preloaded map data on its 4 GB hard drive, but it also features an MP3 player, picture viewer and a wireless FM modulator. The 350c includes a digital media card slot for playing audio files or viewing digital images on the 3.5-inch diagonal, 16-bit color TFT touchscreen display. The FM modulator allows you to wirelessly stream music and voice directions through any FM radio channel.
