Finding a gas station while traveling can be nerve reckoning, especially when that “almost empty gallon tank” light is already on and you either can’t find a station, or your navigation system tells you that the nearest station is miles away. If you have a diesel truck, avoid this headache by adding a Titan fuel tank to your vehicle.

The company’s models for 2006 have been refined to be lighter in weight, easier to install and have more usable fuel than the company’s first-generation tanks. Depending on your truck and fuel tank model, you can have as much as 50 gallons of gas at the ready. Titan now offers tanks for the 2001 to 2006 model-year Duramax, 1999 to 2006 model-year Powerstroke and 2003 to 2006 model-year Cummings trucks. Installation hardware, which also has been updated, is included to enable you to replace the factory-installed tank. MSRP: $875 for all models, plus $90 for shipping. Titan Fuel Tanks: 800/728-4982, ext. 200; /titanfueltanks.com/
